Lordy, sure looks nice!

Thanks!

Does the comp follow the eq?

I'll give it a go tomorrow!
I still think, your punctuation sucks, and your spelling isn't cool! So there...

So generous, will try these out tonight.

As a producer for many years now i learned and experiment to do something different...
Like in this plugin the Eq comes now after the comp!
So the eq does not effect the comp in but the overall output and gain, compensate this with the out gain control.
I suggest to use always use the a.makeup function.
This is not a common makeup but it auto levels the signal between Ratio and Threshold.
The comp section reacts smooth, so it's more suitable for vocals etc.
Check out the internal presets.

Okay, couldn't wait . . .

GUI is nice-n-clean and the controls are working smoothly on both.

With CompEQ (not ST) there is a large volume change (to the point of digital distortion) on the left channel when using the plug either with EQ on or off. I can hear eq but not compression. It almost sounds like the right channel is not being processed at all and the left channel's gain is just being raised. I got this in Audition, Acid Home Studio, Reaper, and when I wrapped it into CE2000. It seems like CompEQ is not doing anything but raising volume.

Conversely, CompEQ-ST works flawlessly and sounds wonderbar! Nice and pillowy. CPU seems okay here, too.

A quick response here before i sleep:
Mandt, use the CompEQ.dll only on mono tracks or material (depends on host).
Use CompEq-ST only for stereo tracks.
I think you used the mono plugin (CompEq) on a stereo track, and thats why its sounds weird.
I use CompEq (not the st version) daily in all my projects on vocals in Nuendo without any problems (on mono tracks).

Let me know if this works for you.
Terry.

A note: disabling the Meters reduces also some cpu. Use the button.

:dog: Okay, Terry, that did it. I quickly assumed that since the gui's were slightly divergent that each did something different.

These are very nice plugs. Again I like the poofiness of the ST version (not that it's a poof but, ya know, it sounds like marshmallows)

Thanks a million!

In COMPEQ-ST: setting the EQ knobs value at -20 why it kinda boost again?
I would expect 0 +20= boost freq, 0 -20= attenuation.
Just give it a try: turn all knobs at -20 and listen...
is it ok for you?

Is this made with SynthMaker?

I guess I overlooked this myself for I thought the CompEQ was Mono as well so, I never installed it.

I installed the EQ only version and was having difficulty in the higher frequencies (As expected) on vocals.

Time to remove the EQ and add the stereo CompEQ.

What are the fixed starting points on the EQ btw?

Thanks

It seems you changed the link for I have the mono version of the EQ/Compressor.

I downloaded your hyperlink again and tried the Stereo Version of the EQ/Compressor combo.

I like the idea of the digital readout showing you how much reduction is involved in real time.

I've noticed you don't have a defeat switch on the compressor to just use the EQ so I just manually turned off the compression to hear the EQ.

I like the "Presence" offered when using the high contour for female vocals.

I only had a Sade "Stronger Than Pride" wav file present in my computer.

Sounds very good. No problems using in Wavelab and I would imagine the same in Samplitude although I haven't tried it yet.

When reducing the EQ levels, I recieve maximum effect. So, unless it's designed that way (For phase purposes) there seems to be a bug going on.

When using the bypass switch located in the group as the "Meters" and "A.Makeup" the output is reduced around 4 decibels lower than if I intitially use the bypass switch on Wavelab's master console.

What are the fixed starting points on the EQ?

Thanks for the plug-in btw.
