1. You're right, the Bypass turns the plugin completely off, i will change that soon.OMNIFEX wrote: I've noticed you don't have a defeat switch on the compressor to just use the EQ so I just manually turned off the compression to hear the EQ.
When reducing the EQ levels, I recieve maximum effect. So, unless it's designed that way (For phase purposes) there seems to be a bug going on.
When using the bypass switch located in the group as the "Meters" and "A.Makeup" the output is reduced around 4 decibels lower than if I intitially use the bypass switch on Wavelab's master console.
What are the fixed starting points on the EQ?
2. I think that is solved in the new version (Stereo only).
3. I checked this and it just reduced a little, example: -7.0 (CompEq) to -6.8 (Wavelab).
4. Freq. are: 130hz, 980hz, 2k, 8.4k, 13k. Lowboost = 100hz.

Thanks for the update.
I've noticed you added the "Air" to make it a 5 Band EQ and an "Input" level on the 1.2 version.
It draws more CPU power than the previous version but it is expected with the extra contours.
All the problems I was having are no longer apparent. Just tried it in Samplitude and works great in there as well.
What is the concept behind your "Fine Tuning" option? Is it based on how sharp the curve will be? For example, X 1, X 10, X 100 found on analog hardware?
Thanks.

1. I updated it with the extras like the mono version has.OMNIFEX wrote: I've noticed you added the "Air" to make it a 5 Band EQ and an "Input" level on the 1.2 version.

2. Disable the meters reduce some cpu, and when not in use disable the EQ also.
3. It just divides the way the equalizer knobs works.

Why, oh why don't you implement an EQ pre/post Comp switch? It could be nice for those, like me, who like experimenting: Comp->EQ is good but, sometimes, EQ->Comp is better... it shouldn't be hard to implement and it would cost almost no CPU at all... plz
All the best

Before i take a week vacation with the family i did a small update:
This is just a update for the mono version for now.
* By request the Equalizer is now before (pre) the comp.
* Now 3 separate meters for In, Reduction, Out.
* Reduced meter-option to update rate for now.
* Cleanup coding, less cpu usage.
To do: add pre/post Eq option and also fixing the EQ bypass in stereo version.
(Eq fix already done but will released when updated also to v0.7.)

CompEQ 0.8.
I'm back from my vacation and release this same day an update...
Only mono version again this time:
Added pre/post EQ on request.
Updated Gui and some minor fixes.
It might that some old projects dont't load your songsettings correct after this update, so backup the previous version of the plugin before use this one.
The full release (Mono/stereo) will be shortly... need to find the time though.
Download:

Please test and review this version, thanks, Terry.
