Heres the deal, I have a Yamaha DD-5 digital drum pad with midi out on it, I've been using it to play drums with a vsti called Nusofting dk+. But the dk+ screws up too much, I've tried some other simple wav samplers but they dont seem to respond to the dd-5 for some reason, even if I have the correct midi notes set up and everything. I basically need a simple sampler for drum that I can load wavs into.

Are you sure the right channel is selected? Some things think drums should be on channel 10, while others default to using channel 1 FWIW.

Never had any problems with DK+ in combination with a Yamaha DTXpress3 midikit. I think your problem lies elsewhere, but with the info you're giving i cannot give suggestions.
