- fixed saving/loading patches in the old format
- wiggled something

works ok?
only had a quick test, but it loaded fine in ext and live6.
loading/saving seemed fine too.

will report more in detail tomorrow, if there isn't already a new build by then ;)

cheers

Just a question, would you happen to know what's causing the heavy load when using Chainer's randomizer then pressing a note after full randomization? (10% randomization is harmless but...yeah)

Post

the range of voice allocation is from 1 to 1024. if you're allowing the unison or notelogic parameters to be adjusted, this is the cause.

(polyphony 32 X unison 32 = 1024)

Egad! :O

Thanks for the heads up!

http://xhip.cjb.net/xhip/releases/v0/b6 ... 6.13.3.dll

- fixed bug causing crash in event routing when an event applies to all channels, such as with pitch bend

Post

http://xhip.cjb.net/xhip/releases/v0/b6 ... 6.13.4.dll

- modified attack phase of the envelope, does this mess up your patches? sounds better? worse? i think over-all this linearized attack sounds better.
- made the first modifications for event routing, the cutoff control can now go to -1.0, so the bender will bend it up and down correctly, try it out, you can do some really cool stuff with the filter oscillating

MOO!...
...hm... needs more cowbell.

http://xhip.cjb.net/xhip/releases/v0/b6 ... 6.13.5.dll

- dinked with the cowbel...err.. the gui, changed drop boxes, added pcms to waveform boxes
- set default interpolation mode back to hermite spline

i need to follow the to-do list i think :hihi:

by the way, if you load enough pcms to make the waveform box overflow the window, it WILL crash. do not complain about this being a bug, i just havent bothered to deal with it yet. just dont load that many pcms!

also, it doesnt actually work. it's just printing the names on the list. the list isnt even configured right to acknowledge that you've selected a value not in the expected range. i'll fix this later.

There's something fonky going on in the waveshaper. And not good fonk. :hihi:
http://www.tekno.chalmers.se/~magolo/sy ... ugXhip.mp3

This is automating the waveshaper depth between 0 and 5 %. At 0 % there's no noise but jumps in just above 0 and then fades out again as i approach 5 %. Or maybe it's a feature ? :D

BTW it happens also when i manually adjust the waveshaper depth. Default settings, logarithmic mode.

"Or maybe it's a feature ?"

called "limited bit depth". when you use those low settings only three or four bits are getting used at one point of the processing. the only options are to either make it so you cant select that depth, or add more complex processing. i havent found any problem with it so far. i'd prefer to make it so you just cant select that low of a depth if it is a real problem.

Ok i see. Never noticed it before that's why i thought it might be a bug.

was down for 1 hour tonight while the isp ran some updates. remember, xhip.cjb.net links to a pentium-133 pc in my closet, it isnt some rack server in a server farm with a fiber connection or something.
