How is this a classical composition? To me it's a fairly standard electronic piece, relying on varying timbre. You're definitely not playing with the melodic material, the way even repetitive (minimal, like Reich c.s.) classical compositions do.

It's pleasant to listen to, but doesn't engage or challenge me.

Victor.

Thanks Victor, but I don't change the timbre in whole piece (!?)
and I only play with melodic material,
in fact I only wrote MIDI notes to compose this, strange, <grin>

thanks Chris,
glad you like it,
as I was about to file it under "failures", LOL

Ok, I've listened, this time on better speakers. You're right, there is a lot more development than I initially found. Still, in the second half you sort of settle on some riff from which you little deviate, and then the most important change putting another layer on top.

Is the ending reallyy supposed to be that abrupt? It feels like you're working up to a climax and then suddenly it stops.

Victor.

terry riley, I presume. Excellent piece and really reminds me of the Master.

oh man. i was just getting into it and all of a sudden it finished. i thought i lost connection or something. i wouldn't file it under failures, maybe unfinished. :p

very nice piece. calm mood. makes me think of rain for some reason.

thanks mate, and excuse me for the trick to have you come here, <wink>

Not bad... not bad at all, I think it works great in its own universe. Probably not very interesting to the ear of the casual listener, a track made for musicians, They surely can enjoy it.

Cheers
