That's excellent. I've been playing with it for a bit and he's not only made the only genuinely good looking theme (imvho) in Reaper, it's actually extremely usable.alex zonder wrote:From an ugly duckling to the finest looking GUI out there, IMHO, thanks to Youn who made the YounSoft advanced theme:
track, mixer, toolbar panels, track colors etc. are no png's in this theme, so you can easily select darker greys in REAPER's color scheme window.shamann wrote:That YounSoft theme is very nice. Is it only the light grey? I'd switch to it if it was dark grey.
First one I see making use of advanced skinning option that I could actually live with, all the other ones are too distracting and FisherPrice looking to do any serious work with, but I still prefer the Akoustic series of old style skins.alex zonder wrote:From an ugly duckling to the finest looking GUI out there, IMHO, thanks to Youn who made the YounSoft advanced theme:
Yep, I turned that off a long time ago. The good thing is that it is just a single checkbox to untick in the preference and all that stupid looking gradient/shadow is instantly gone.Kingston wrote:in all of these examples the incoherent use of gradients make the GUIs look very amateurish.
