Hi all,
I work in Cubase SX3 and my project setup is 16bit & 44.1 khz.I have a very old sound effects CD where all the samples are mono 8 bit & 22.05 khz. When i tried importing any sample from this CD,obviously the sample was playing double the original speed and an octave up because of the sample rate mismatch.
My question is what do i need to do use these samples properly in SX3 so that it plays back in correct tempo & pitch.
Any kind of help & suuggestions is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Peace & Love,
Mizo

Convert them to 16bit 44,100hz.
An easy way to do that is with foobar2000. Add all the files to the playlist, select all of them, right click and convert to WAV. In the conversion dialog, go to DSP processing and select the resampler, select 44,100hz, enable the high quality mode if you want, and convert.
