Ever hear of giving yourself options???
Get a COMBO USB2/Firewire drive and a Firewire card.
Then TEST IT and hook it up however it works best.
That why you're not limited to one solution.
(Glyph drives -excellent and DEAD SILENT- have SATA/USB2 AND Firewire...)

Well, I went with the 250 gb LACI eSATA drive ($100.00) and purchased an inexpensive PCI/eSATA adapter (less than $15.00, including shipping). I will let you know how it goes.
