I've been up all night doing the work I was supposed to do on Friday (it's now eight:thirty-something here) and this track is really screwing with my brain... in a good way.

Have you ever been gone deep sea fishing and had such a good time that you didn't care that you vomited all over your buddies tackle box? Then when the dude starts to complain you start laughing uncontrollably because that just became the most rewarding hurl you've ever had?

Yeah... this was close to that experience- but louder.

I really enjoyed, especially the screaming fish guts at the end.

That was great! I really liked the part from about the 9 minute mark on... evil! Could indeed be the soundtrack to the picture you posted.

My dog wasn't too sure what to think- he came into the room to investigate, with his ears in full-alert position.

The weather's kinda wierd here today too, so he's already a bit on-edge.

Well, thanks for listening, and sorry about the dog. Actually, that's kind of a compliment to me. I remember one member told me that one of my tracks induced vomiting on his wife or some such..

On a serious note, I've been tossing around the idea of finally giving in and doing a _limited_ run of CD's for my stuff out of pocket, but the taste tests here lately tells me that might not be such a good idea..

Maybe too much Mordor, Tom, eh?

I'm a very long-term member of the Cafe and KvR in general, and I know the etiquette here, which is simple and one I approve of, where if a person wants listeners they need to do some listening of their own, and I'd just like to let those here who may be quietly simmering because they feel I have ignored their cafe submissions that sincerely I haven't meant to do so; I just recently got myself a decent ISP connection after being limited for the last 6 months on a dial up that pulled like 28k/sec at it's very best. In my time away from KVR this year, as could be expected, there's a rash of new members that I don't know, and I'm not sure who makes what anymore really, so if any Cafe contributers feel they have something I might enjoy, or even want some feedback from me, let me know here and I'll do my best to give a listen.

For a good 3 years, this Cafe has been the *exclusive* location for every piece of sound I've shared online. This is a great place for all manners of Artists, and I'd like to see the spirit I knew and loved before my lapse online to remain strong and healthy.

Personally, I think the cafe is long since dead. Nobody can be arsed anymore (myself included thinking about it). I don't even post my tracks here anymore.

You know, I havn't been here long but I honestly feel that, more than anything, it's an issue of timing. I've found that if I post a song late friday night it goes un-noticed until I bump it monday morning.

I also think that their is somewhat of a hierarchy, that waxes and wanes somewhat. I know that any time you or Vurt or plug-in developers like TC or Liqih post tracks people that wouldn't normally come anywhere near the cafe stop in to say hello. It seems to me (as some one who is constantly refereshing the music cafe page) that if it's been a while since one of our tenured members has posted a track it takes a while longer for the word to get around.

There are always going to be the people that are looking for their favorite KVR artists next post and for the most part these are the people with the first coment below someones submission (I'm looking at you Runagate

). I know that in my case, I might get 20 comments on a track but if I don't see a reply from Runa, Poly, Jazzy, Rachmiel or Synthgeek I know that I need to bump that shit again.

There in lies the dilema. I don't wan't to come off as a narcisistic bastard that solely watches his own threads for attention. This is where the penance that you speak of comes in, but I see it much differently. I know that I have only gotten to the place I'm at (musically) because of the input I get here (I know maybe two people beside my wife that enjoy my music IRL). It is extremely rewarding to me to hear the jems that would otherwise slip by if I weren't constantly trolling, and the thought that I might have a positive effect on someones creative process is the icing on the cake.

Anyway, I didn't mean for this to become a rant (I can't believe how serious I got all of a sudden). This is how I feel about the subject, I'd bee interested to hear how others feel.
