Yeah -- over the years I reckon vurt's developed a style that's rather unique. I could be blind-folded and spot his music right off, which is a true sign of originality.

This is great minimalism; restrained and purposeful. You chopped off a few transients here and there(when you normalized?) and courted digital clipping in some spots looking at the waveform, but that's no biggie.

Good to hear a new vurt piece; I have many to catch up on.

edit: 3:45 is definitely digital clipping. Shame, shame, John..

i'm listening to this right now. i like the concept of taking the acoustic instrument and turning into this modulated electric sound scape. very nice minimalistic approach to what you're doing.

it's very interesting yet pleasing in nice subtle ways. it ebbs and flows nicely. and it is far from boring!! i hope i don't sound like i'm just babbling on about it!

I didn't like this at all. Not remotely. I'd be embarrassed to waste people's time posting such a thing.

But obviously tons of people here like it. So that's great. Good for you. It's a real hit. Obviously my tastes are quite different than the majority of people hanging out in the "music" cafe at KVR.

Vurt, could you maybe mention somewhere that it's not what the unwashed masses think of as music? That way you won't waste these people's time who wanted to listen to what they, with their unrefined tastes, consider music?

And I hesitate to call it a song not to be offensive. But because I would expect that not even you (Vurt) probably call it that. It probably has some special name that I in my woeful ignorance know nothing about.
