question: how is this different from the partial-wav import feature of Sytrus?

In the specs, it says that Morphine has 4 voices each with 128 oscillators (harmonics or partials I guess). Could these be consolidated if a patch uses less voices, in other words, if a patch is using just one voice, would it be possible to use 4*128 = 512 partials?
Anyone?

My guess would be no..But I think Maxx/some1 from IL should correct me if I'm wrong..

Anyone want to elaborate on why the Image Line site's demo download link is dead?

Thanks Reflex! :)

reflex: Just something minor I noticed (probably a cut & paste issue)

http://www.flstudio.com/documents/morphine.html - the browser title says "Sytrus".

Morhpine sounds incredible, but even the Resynthsis method became so acurate, I doubt we can emulate an acoustic piano perfectly.

I'm afraid the answer is no. (I'm not sure I understood the question).

You can split your sound in four voices and adress particular harmonics range with each of the four voices ( ie choose harmonics range 1-32 for the first voice and zeroing range 32-128 in the 3 remaining voices aso)(or choose odd and even harmonics for example)

But the four voices will still adress the same harmonics . So this will only be "slicing" the same harmonics in 4 parts. You cannot obtain a better precision in the spectra ie have 512 different harmonics to adress for a single patch ( higher resolution so)

Hope it answers your question.

Yes, this answers my question. Although I'd like to be able to use higher resolution, Morphine sounds fantastic as it is. Thanks again.

if we're talking about fixes, the Sytrus page on the Image Line site still refers to v2.3, and the current version is v2.5.

That's probably an old(er) page that's still in your cache.
