well, it ain't easy... ...and it's not a matter of length. Listening to your things at the old auditorium I got used to your previous stuff, but usually I don't listen to other similar tracks (probably there are none).
It's a kind of meditation 'cause I have to leave behind all technicalities expectations and all that stuff, empty my mind, and put it into it. It's all about the atmosphere, and It's rather on the the dark side, you soon notice negativeness, but you express it in a artistic way.
Sometimes I think my goal could be to make a track 1 or 2 minutes long, with virtuosistic playing or technical difficulty.
You're on the other side, no hurry to express the feel, slowly building an atmosphere.
A damn good one, 'cause after all I enjoyed it
Cheers

I really enjoyed this track. It also reminds me (and I'm almost embarrassed to admit) that I've still never watched The Thing. Probably ought to make a list of movies I need to watch... Anyway, thanks for sharing! This one is going straight onto my iPod.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Four pages in less than two days.
Hmph.
One time my dentist said I should come back to witness a root canal so I could appreciate why he didn't really give a shit about my whimpering. Get my subtle point?

[I prefer to think there was good conversation in the thread that moved it along. The track itself only carries so much weight on it's own.]
@fatjack: that was an interesting dialog; glad you had an enjoyable experience.

Don, what is it with you and The Thing? It's not the only open/bleak-ended mainstream movie out there...
Computer blew up so I lost all the info about the forum thingy you set up. Hope survival is treating you better these days.

It just stuck. That and the music from The Fog. Be glad I can't find midi tracks from that soundtrack or I'd spam the f**k out of the cafe with Sickle'd versions of it forever..clueless wrote:Don, what is it with you and The Thing? It's not the only open/bleak-ended mainstream movie out there...

fair enough. from him it was dark star that stuck with me. doomed rebellion against being thwarted by convenient technology (rubber chicken/eyeballs on springs/surf board v. stroppy smart-bombs - "let there be light" indeed), poor sound quality and plentiful ennui. buster keaton does 'silent running'. thankfully.Sickle wrote:It just stuck.

Yes. Well. I didn't mean to sound condescending, I was trying to sound petulantly jealous.Sickle wrote: [I prefer to think there was good conversation in the thread that moved it along....][/size]
