One Long mic lead or join 2?

Hi. I need a decent quality long mic lead to run into the next room for recording and am wondering whether I should join 2 leads together or get 1 long lead?
Will this make any difference?
What would you recommend?

If both leads are of decent quality then you can join them without any issues. There's no measurable difference to be expected.
If this bothers you though and you don't mind parting with some money, get a long one.
