Absynth Cryptotronix is now available...

This is the Absynth version of the dBu Cryptotronix library. 50 sounds, 350 .wav files and 44 presets in V3 .glo format and 57 presets in V4 .ksd format.

On sale now for $20.

Nice! Demos prove that Absynth sure is a helluva way to grind WAVs into strange sounds.

Thanks ....

If this soundset gets a good response, and enables me to upgrade to Absynth V4 - then you can all expect a lot more soundsets for Absynth from me and more importantly, presets that take advantage of the Absynth V4 features once I upgrade...

This includes the further development of Anomaly as well, for that is a multi-format library which I have mapped out so far as Volume 3 (Volume 2 is Pads, Volume 3 is Drones), Volumes 4 and 5 being unspecified at the moment....

There is much more to come from all of this, as each format fuels others...

...does the Anomaly soundset use any controllers? I have downloaded the demo and it seems that you cannot tweak anything and that the sound is from the pure wave-files (which are great nevertheless). Is this intended or have I missed something - I have only v.4 installed atm and I think, it might have some problems with the controllers from presets from earlier versions...

loachm - I have not yet experimented with the controllers in Absynth, that is next on my list of things to do with it....

What I can do is go back to the Anomaly presets and do some experimenting and possibly issue a preset update....

I want to do this anyway when I do get V4 to make the V3 and V4 presets different, instead of just one being converted from the other.....

The same goes for Cryptotronix...

Here is a very quick way to find out if V4 has problems with controllers from V3 files....

This is a demo preset that I made tonight, with controllers in a .glo, V3 file. 3 sample files are included.

Convert this preset from the V3 .glo and see if the controllers convert along with it...

As promised, a new downloadable demo is now available of Absynth Cryptotronix.

The demo comes with 19 .wav files and 8 presets. 6 of these presets come with the 44 that are included with Cryptotronix. 2 of them are unique to this demo, to show some of the weirder sounds you can get from these.

They are called Weirdness 1 and Weirdness2.

This soundset will have a preset update available free to all customers in the near future...

Yes, Anomaly 2 - Pads will be coming out in the fall....

But, and this is the twist with all Anomaly volumes... Each one will have two batches of presets. One of which uses only the most current soundset for its presets, and a seperate one which uses the current soundsets and all previous ones....

It should be interesting...

Absynth 4 arrived today and I got it installed and authorized.....

Some news:

Anomaly Absynth will be getting an overhaul.

V4 presets will be made and will be categorized according to the Attributes...

The V4 presets will be based upon those I import from the .glo file but will be significantly different.... Making more use of the features of Absynth...

If anyone has any ideas on how to classify those sounds it would be appreciated...

Cryptotronix Absynth will get the same overhaul. I will import and classify the presets and then make new ones based upon the imported ones....

There will be preset updates for both libraries in the future, which will have the V3 .glo file and a separate folder of V4 presets. In this way anyone who likes the V3 presets imported into V4 can easily do the import and use them, and still have the V4 presets in the update as separate presets.

The Cryptotronix update will be first, followed by Anomaly, and then the release of Anomaly 2....

Work on all of this will start in August..... So if you buy into this now, you will be having free goodies for a while to come...
