another midi editor bug

hi, i think this was mentioned before, but not with the latest beta, apologies if it was,
piano keyboard moves independently of the grid, in the pop-up midi editor. the grid doesn't line up with the piano keyboard.
if you scroll the piano keyboard up to the highest note which is G8
(for me) and then scroll the grid up to its furthest, highest position, in theory both keyboard and grid should be inline,
now add a note at C8 and the note will appear as D sharp 8
and if you scroll the keyboard down to its lowest position C-2
then do the same with the grid add a note in the editor at C-2
and you have to scroll up the grid a lot to see the added note

ok, open xt2,open pop-up midi editor, left click on the keyboard to the left, to kind of select it,release left mouse button, press ctrl and alt together, keep them pressed and rotate the scroll wheel on the mouse backwards and forwards four or five times.nothing will move but do it anyway,
release ctrl and alt now scroll the keyboard up to the top to show octaves six to eight, add notes, they will appear in the wrong place.
don't know why i pressed ctrl and alt but i was trying to scroll or something i think

i forgot to add you can add notes anywhere and they appear somewhere else above. also you can now scroll the keyboard so far down it goes beyond C-2 and goes blank, just white

i think this is a separate issue. holding ctrl and using the scroll wheel over the keyboard causes notes to be entered in the wrong place in the popup editor.
there may be other ways to cause it, but ctrl-scroll over keyboard works every time for me... if i keep doing it, i actually get a huge blank area below the bottom octave.

I see what you are talking about now. Sorry I totally didn't read carefully enough.
I see the problem with using the scroll wheel over the keyboard. Alt+ scroll seems to not make a difference. Ctrl+ scroll won't even scroll.
Is this right?
midi editor
JL10- Using the mouse scroll wheel to scroll keyboard will cause notes that are added to be placed on wrong notes.
I have a feeling it is related to this one:
JL10- Keyboard in pop-up midi editor doesn't refresh when scrolling vertically until you click in the editor area. [appeared in a July beta]

scroll wheel by itself is ok... ctrl-scroll causes the problem.
the other issue is only when you use the scrollbar. could be related though, yes.

it's not the scroll wheel on its own, you have to have control pressed too, then when you release control and add notes they go somewhere else. actually theres no reason to press control, its more of an accident, the keyboard scrolls with just the scroll wheel

I see now. You are right; I had already messed it up with that and thought that i was messing it up more with a plain scroll.
Not that you can't do it, but what were you expecting to happen when doing a ctrl+wheel scroll as opposed to a plain wheel scroll?

i'm guessing that ctrl-wheel over the keyboard is intended (eventually) to zoom vertically, but since that's not implemented yet, it does weird things instead.
in fact it seems like it's partially implemented... you can zoom the note entry area, but then it no longer matches what is displayed.
