Hey everyone. It's been a while since i posted something.....

as you'll hear, the whole track is based on the riff that my guitar player friend (named sylvain) gave me to mess around with.....

hmmm, anyone know why the last part of the link isn't being highlighted?

the link doesn't work because of it. i've tried to copy and paste several times, with the same result...wierd

Oh and this is a really cool up beat track, lots of neat little twitches and breaks. I really enjoyed it. Thanks.

You missed my edit above with the explanation.

I enjoyed this, but I was surprised at the direction you took it. After hearing the initial guitar part, I was expecting a more low-key, contemplative treatment.

I like it's 'upbeatness' and mastery of low end punch. Guitar is tech-pretty, too. Great work, Mel. Keep us on our toes.

Thanks shamann. Yeah, i wasn't sure where to go with it at first. the riff itself is quite contemplative...which was the direction i was going to go with at first...more ambient even....but i was really trying to 'push' the sample...i don't know...I thought that it was more fitting to push it in the other (more upbeat) direction....after i added some beats there was no turning back

that's funny, i never thought about the pitched guitar potentially sounding 'funny'.
