JJ Burnel used a knackered old Precision and played v close to the bridge & very hard with a pick. The story goes his speaker cab was a guitar cab and also rather knackered. No idea how true that gear description is but his sound was fantastic.
This back in the Rattus/Heroes and possibly Black & White era.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I've got a fretless bass sample set (one bass, lots of articulations, slides, bends, showing off the lack of its frets) in the works, too. Already all sampled, I just need to finish cutting out the notes and mapping them, etc.mcl dagaz wrote:Wow now that is service.
