I happened to check reviews of the different Adrenalinns on Harmony Central a while ago, some useful comments there: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/revi ... inn+Design

thanks shy,
hey whats up shamann, man that really depends on how flexible it is, at first I was just looking for something else specificly to run my turntables through, the kp3 is cool for sure but with only a stereo in and out it's not that flexible so right now I'm running the mpc and the turntables through a mackie and hitting a button to send either signal to the kp3. its not intuitive and I need a smoother workflow not to mention the fact that I can only have one effect going on the kp3 at any given time and whatever that effect is both the mpc and turntables have to share it. actualy now that i'm thinkin about it, i've been getting into putting fx on vocals through the kp3 and i might want to do more of that in near future. the ideal thing would be to use the kp3 just for vocals and find something unique and intuitive that would allow me to put different efx on the mp and the turntables. just haven't found it yet.

Just don't buy one for the drums-not much more than a glorified metronome...

I believe there is a software editor that lets you program your own drum patterns, although the drum sounds themselves are a bit naff.Aural Chaos wrote:Just don't buy one for the drums-not much more than a glorified metronome...
Hey sb, I tried out the AdrenaLinn II sort of with the same idea as you, that it looked like a handy multi-effect. But I wasn't particularly impressed with the effects overall. I think it's a good all-in-one box for someone who has fairly low demands on their effects. In terms of quality, it won't offer much above the effects in the Kaoss Pad.
I'd recommend waiting a little while for the new Eventide and TC Electronics stompboxes (or even the TC-Helicon voice boxes) to be put out. They'll be the same or lower price roughly as the AdrenaLinn, but with better sounding effects and better control over parameters (the Adrenalinn isn't really tweaker friendly).
Just noticed on the Linn site that they'll be releasing an AdrenaLinn III soon. But overall it looks roughly on par with previous versions.

You might also want to check out the DSI Evolver. It's a four osc monosynth/sequenced effect unit with some pretty tasty analog circuitry. I love the sounds I've gotten from playing my bass or drum machines through it. Combine that with the KP3 and you will definitely turn some heads.
