No VST/AU. Software editor, certainly.

If you can afford a H8000 surely there's enough change in your pockets for one of these

So you can control it externally but what about a software editor ?

I cannot really afford one of these but I am thinking maybe the eclipse 3.0, I wonder what has been streamlined ? I have one more question, Is the eclipse at the bottom of the eventide effects processors?

Ever since I listened to the demo on the site I instantly started hearing them on all kind of music, they are just so creamy good!

I want one :hyper:

Refer to my post about a software editor.

Yes, Eclipse is at the buttom. It has far less DSP power, it has less and simpler algorithms and is only capable of doing a fraction of what H7600 or H8000 can, and not at the same quality. But of course even so, it's one of the best effect processors in the world, and anything by Eventide is of great quality. It just doesn't feature their latest and greatest technology. Purchasing an H7600 is not a good idea since it only has one DSP processor and costs only a little less than an H8000 with many more features, connections and power.

SoundToys are the guys who did the H3000 and DSP4000 algorithms, their native bundle is available for AU. It might be worth checking out since you mentioned affordability and software editing.
