Though in Quark/InDesign's case, you could always type your text in plain-text format first, before copying and pasting over.

Most expensive? If that's true, then you need, say, a Studer Vista.

ProTools, even TDM, is still a consumer solution running on a general purpose consumer hardware platform, no matter how much money you pour into it. It might be a de facto standard in some segments of the industry, and it might be a very good solution for some, but it's still just a consumer platform being shoehorned into service as a production studio solution.

As upseting as it is to people who disagree, I hear a difference.

Why? WTFK'S!

But I hear it........like night and day......it's truely bizarre that others can't to me because it's always consistant (and no I won't name them cause I'm not going to piss people off/or get pissed/or ruin someones judgement).....I just hear differences.

This is the "plug in ONE thing" method It can be a recorded part, but doesn't need to be. It can just be "played" in stand-still......and I can hear a difference.

I am not writting these things to be confronational, I just can hear it and think it's important to understand that and not be so down on those who hear (or even just WANT to hear) a difference

I dropped my Reason box and Logic box from the same height yesterday and they definitely sound different. the Reason one has more mids and the Logic one has more bottom end.

bass guitar RECORDINGS to me are the ultimate tell-tale of samplerate/bitrate/host/etc debates............but that is just my opinion

99 % of the time it's just a difference in volume. Different panning laws will do that. Not that one pan law is better than another,they're just not equally loud and the louder one will sound better to the ear.

I still think it's related to visuals to some extent. If I switch skins in the same host (i.e., even energyXT2's light and dark skins) it has a subtle psychological effect on how I perceive the sound.

Which is why I tend to close my eyes and just use my ACT-assigned MIDI controller thesedays instead of the GUI...

True as true could be...Daily we hear of the myth that PT was a top down type of deal, but it truly was bottom up, ad up, conservatory up

although panning laws are CRITICAL IMO, I always check at same volume (0 db)

I do believe that since I play bass and guitar I have a unique perspective, but I can safely say it is NOT volume/db's

honestly why do people debate the sound quality of a host?

two reasons.

1) because people are f**king stupid, stubborn, vain, egotistical, selfconscious and petty.
2) . actually, there's only one reason.
