Toxic III default bank--installation help please

A while ago, when using Toxic III, I installed a new bank of presets for a project I was working on. I forgot about it for a while, but then when I tried using ToxicIII on another project, it opened up without any presets. Loading the default bank is not a big deal, but I find that having to do it every time I open it is a real PITA.
Is there a way to load up the default bank so that it sticks? I'm sure there must be a utility in there that allows you to do this, but darn if I can find it. Also, I'm using Cubase 4 if that's a factor here.
BTW, I know that I can always re-install ToxIII, but there must be a way to have a bank kept in the program's 'memory'
without doing this.
Cheers

I think it's probably related to something in the registry.
Have a look with "regedit" and see what path you have for the value "rootFolder" in:
Perhaps it's pointing to the wrong place?

Thanks fandango. But do I really need to dig that deep? There's no button on the interface that I'm failing to click on?fandango wrote:I think it's probably related to something in the registry.

Wait, I think I just realized what you're referring to, and it may be simpler than I thought. I will check that out.BERFAB wrote:Thanks fandango. But do I really need to dig that deep? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Image-Line\ToxicIIIBecause frankly, if I've got to muck about with the registry, I'd probably just be better off with a clean re-install.

Yeah, shouldn't be too hard. From the default Regedit GUI, just expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER branch and then the rest of them as listed in that bit of code. Once you get to the end and click on "Toxic III", you can just double-click the "rootFolder" key to see what's inside and update it to the new location.
Remember, it's not the 'looking' at the registry that's dangerous, just the 'deleting'.
This is a pretty safe key though.
