Yes, I actually started to think my hearing was deteriating, but they are definitely quieter than when I bought them.

Incidently if we refer back to an old post I made
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... ght=mashed

Well the cracking on the pots has now stopped but the tannoys seem much quieter in general, I can put them at full volume and it's 'listenable' whilst be before it would of been too loud to even be in the same room.

I really cannot be sending these back (ok ok i will if i have to ) because I got a load of new patches to do, and alot of new musical goodies arriving in the next few days that I really want to be trying.

Any ideas? man I feel like crying.

:x

EDIT: Actually thinkin about it, what are the chances of this happening to both speakers at the same time? the same fault? maybe I should be checking elsewhere in the signal path. But it's only emu 1212m -> monitors

Scrap everything I said above, the peakmeter in my patch mix is only reading -20db so it's obivously the card or OS that's causing a volume decrease somewhere.

EDIT:EDIT: Scrap everything I have said, ever. It seems anything i say is nonsensical gibberish that doesn't make sense to even the most intelligent of human criteria.
