Probably a stupid question but, how do you get Rhino to accept wav files into the additive section :?: I've tried to do this a few times but to no avail. Is there a restriction on wav size, bit depth etc.

Also, would it be possible to make available the required file(s) to make your own vfs add on wave files :?:

Thanks Tick for a wonderful synth, keep up the good work.

Cheers Dunc

Hi,

I'm the one to blame here - I never got the time, or the desire, to update the manual to describe how to do that. I'll bring that up a notch in my todo list, and try to release a new manual this week-end. I promise :)

Now... the .wav files have to be 16 bits mono files (sample rate doesn't matter). Actually, what you want to import is usually a single-cycle of a complex wav, so you'll have to trim your audio file in your favourite editor.

As for making your own .vfs files... that's a tough question. Most audio files in the .vfs files had to be hand-tweaked at some point, so there is no fully automated way to convert, say, a .wav sample to a .vfs file. But I'll think about it :-)

Hope this helps,
'Tick

I would also be grateful for the updated manual.
