Augustus Loop - wishing for Input Level smoothing/inertia

Hi Os,

I'm building nice little looper in Bidule based on Augustus Loop. But I have a problem: When kicking a MIDI pedal to open up the Input Level to perform "Non Quantized Overdub" I get a horrible CLICK noise at the note attack. This could be prevented if there was a kind of "glide setting for the input level knob". Or is there a better solution?

Hi Per,

on my list of features for Augustus 2.0 is de-clicking of all sharp transients like this (others would be tap record, freeze loop, clear loop etc.).

If you were using Live here I'd suggest triggering a MIDI clip that ramped the input level up - no idea if Bidule has an equivalent.

Nothing else leaps to mind right now.

os.

This is for Bidule. I don't know if there is some fix for this in Bidule... but I would think so because Bidule is so deeeeeeeeeeep. Not found anything yet... will have a look at the new Envelope Follow module to see if it can be used for scaling the Augustus Input Level parameter.

Hey - I just found a preliminary fix for the harsh clicking noise in applying a little filter cutoff, slightly controlled by LFO. No clicks any more!
