ndc MIDI-signal-effect VSTs don't work. They load but the notes don't pass through the chain. (ie: as if they were a wall or something.)

actually it was fixed in REAPER 1.883. if you use the latest XT2 with an old REAPER, it'll still happen.alex zonder wrote:The XT2 VST(i) disappearing window bug in REAPER is finally gone! (with today's 2.01)

Ah I see... so REAPER was to blame! But a swift fix then - as usualinsertpizhere wrote:actually it was fixed in REAPER 1.883. if you use the latest XT2 with an old REAPER, it'll still happen.alex zonder wrote:The XT2 VST(i) disappearing window bug in REAPER is finally gone! (with today's 2.01)

Keyboard support still broken in 2.0.1 VST with renoise as host (everything that is docked ignores keyboard keypresses + command shortcuts and browser do not respond to keyboard input unless a non-docked window that had user focus was docked)
If keyboard support is working (by docking a floating window that can take keyboard input) swapping to the host and back to the energy vst ui will disable keyboard support again...

The problems are still there, especially the cpu loss makes energyXt unusable in Orion. And I noticed another issue: Receiving midi doesn't work for some reason in the vst effect version.MaxJoy wrote:Here are some of my experiences with Orion Platinum 7.11/7.5b2 as host:
- Load 5 energyXt instances into Orion 7.5, then host shows 1% cpu but the task manager shows 52%! What could this be? A hidden thread running wild? In 7.11 there's a difference, too, but it's not that big.
- Resizing of the main window is a bit tricky because it needs a saving of the song to come in effect. In 7.5 the vsti additionally pops up to its original size for the fraction of second, causing flickering whenever you touch its surface.
- I would prefer the dark skin, but EnergyXt forgets always the setting.

On my system, the VSTi receives MIDI. However, it doesn't pass audio along to the host. When the audio out's inserted and connected, the CPU load reflects the instrument load, but there's no sound.
This happens in Chainer, Kore, Live 6 and Sonar 6.

And in Orion! You're right, ew, I was fooled by audio-out and not midi-in ...ew wrote:On my system, the VSTi receives MIDI. However, it doesn't pass audio along to the host. When the audio out's inserted and connected, the CPU load reflects the instrument load, but there's no sound.

Put the XT2 VSTI and VSTFX in a seperate folder (not into the folder, where the XT2 standalone sits) and load it from there.ew wrote:On my system, the VSTi receives MIDI. It also shouldn't be in the same folder with XT 1.4.
That fixed it for me

Alas, I've put every ext version I have into a seperate folder but it didn't help
. Made a journey through my buglist but nothing's better now.

just a bump - 2.02 still exhibiting this...Clearscreen wrote:is this being looked into? the latest beta's still doing it in live 6.0.7 but it seemed to have been pulled off of the bugs list...soma wrote:*bumb* Kvr ad says it works in Ableton... you might want to check this out...

Did anyone managed to make the efx plugin version of Ext2 in Live ?
I tried several times, and it doesn't seem to let any audio signal pass...
I tried in Reaper and it is fine, same with Ext2efx in Ext1.4, but no way in Live !?VSTi version works fine.soma wrote:Confirmed (Live 6). Audio is sent to XT from Live but XT doesn't receive it or pass it from "Audio In" to anything.
