We have just unleashed a new version of Blue Cat's Gain Suite, a freeware gain adjustment plugins package for Windows, including mono, stereo and mid/side DirectX and VST plugins.

This new version (still 100% free) allows you to link several instances together to achieve complex mixing and gain adjustment tasks within your Digital Audio Workstation. It also brings many new features such as undo/redo, presets import/export, window opacity management (more details below)... As usual the plugins can be automated and controlled by MIDI with advanced response curve settings.

The plugins package can be downloaded separately or within Blue Cat's Freeware Pack Bundle together with all our freeware plugins.

New in Blue Cat's Gain Suite 2.0:
- Link several instances of the same plugin and control several plugins from a single user interface.
- Smooth Bypass: activate/deactivate the plugin with absolutely no noise.
- Undo/Redo.
- Load/Save presets in a host-independant format: you can now share presets between the directX and VST versions.
- Streamlined user interface with new GUI design and Blue Cat's Skinnning Language 1.3.3 support:
-> New toolbar to access main functionalities.
-> Integrated window opacity support (make the user interface of the plugin transparent).
-> New layout and new look and feel.

More information about these plugins is available on the product page:

It is not possible with these plugins. But since the gain processing almost costs nothing in terms of CPU there is no issue using a stereo plugin on a mono track.

We have just published a gain grouping capabilities tutorial to help you understand how to use the grouping capabilities of the plugins.

Hope this helps!
