I've set the mo to external sync, I'v also properly set up the sync page on cubase to transmit midi clock and for the sequencer to "follow project position.". Yet the mo6's tempo does not recognize cubase. Ive also set local to off, again with no effect....

Does anybody out there have a problem with syncing a yamaha mo6 as slave to cubase studio 4?

Have you tried slaving cubase to the motif?I have to do this with ableton but thats due to a sync issue with live.Works anyway

mmm.. trouble is, I have all my other hardware synths hooked up. All are working well midi sync wise. Is it worth upseting the apple cart?

Sorry for late reply
I couldn't say, afaik cubases midi timing is solid, maybe someone using it can help you..
I thought slaving to the motif would be a workaround until you find out whats going on but if you've got things wired up maybe not

Thats good point. Is anything else synced to cubase that you could slave the Motif to?I don't think local on or off will make a difference.Do you have routing options on the motif? Are you sure the motif is set to receive master clock from cubase? You could connect the motif to another synth just to make sure make sur ethat it's receiving then you know the problem is at cubases endmcj wrote:hmm does your MO sync to the other hardware?
