ok then. i didn't want to have to resort to this, but you have forced my hand:
1983 was a shaky time for music.
still, inexplicably, i have a soft spot for this song. ( a good retort would be, "soft spot, huh? clearly you're referring to your skull." )
it's probably the Lynn solo near the end that gets me. it's like, oooh, electronic drums - so futuristic!

But I remember 1983 as a pretty good year musically, I felt like synth pop was finally going to bring the general public to electronic music...

Frankly, I find them annoying. Once the novelty wears off, it begins to seem like the product of an anal retentive hobbyist who's into mediocre music. But maybe that's just me.
