Wasn't it made as some kind of demo for a video card? I'm sure it was on some install disc I got with hardware one time.emdot_ambient wrote:It's real animation alright. This is part of a series of 3D animations set to music called Animusic: http://www.animusic.com/Muzik 4 Machines wrote:WOW

Frankly, I find them annoying. Once the novelty wears off, it begins to seem like the product of an anal retentive hobbyist who's into mediocre music. But maybe that's just me.

Not sure. All I know is that Public Broadcast TV has been using this guy's animations for a long time as filler after programs that don't fill up an entire hour's time. During one of their annual fund raisers they featured the Animusic2 stuff, which adds humanoid animated musical robots . . . and is even more annoying.shamann wrote:Wasn't it made as some kind of demo for a video card? But then, as long as you think about how this would've to be done (sort of backwards, because you'd need to sync the music to the balls, I can hardly imagine how it could be done the other way around), the efforts behind it are quite amazing.
Anyways, yes, it gets quite boring after a while, once you've seen all the tricks.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.
