The only problem is whether or not it'll support software that was written for 32-bit, that doesn't support x64 Operating systems.

What? That system will suport x64 OSes and softwares.
The weak point, is the non-premium brand mobo. So forget about overclocking, high durability and such. I would find a config with an Intel 965P or P35 chipset mobo (ASUS or Gigabyte). But of course that ASRock one also should/might serve fine for normal usage.
