what do you mean
keep my existing internal PC Soundcard speaker output connected to my PC Speakers,
and instead connect the speaker output of something like the Mobile PreUSB to the talkbox? the other way round?
indeed, its a difficult choice, have to think which is most effective!

so in theory,
In cubase or whatever sequencer, i should be able to select specifically the speaker line output of something like the Mobile pre USB as to where the VST sound is going.
then in cubase, just setup the Microphone signal coming from the mobile pre USB so i can record it.
therefore basically, the mobile pre usb or whatever would be acting as the outgoing and incoming signal receiver.
is this how it works in theory?

Like I said: keep what you have, that is PC speakers connected to the internal sound card.
The MobilePreUSB is to be used for the extra's: send to and receive from any external effect.
Routing the mic from MobilePre input to the speakers can be done in your host. However DO expect high latency on that internal soundcard. That's why you keep getting back the advice to buy a proper card with four outputs and low latency.

so basically something like the delta 1010 or 1010lt or other recommendations should be enough?
they have multi ins, outs and mic slots all one card.
i will select a good one.
thanks for the info, now i understand much better.

i think i have worked out a good solution.
if i leave my existing pc soundcard speaker output connected to my speakers as normal.
i can then just get a Delta 44 or 66, use one of the outputs on the breakout box to go into a talkbox. then have a Microphone which goes into a preamp (eg audio buddy etc) and then into one of the breakout box Inputs.
I think is probably one of the easiest solutions. simple and effective.
ill probably go for this one.
there shouldn't be much latency either. vst sound will just go out via the breakout box into talkbox. i just speak into mic with tube in mouth and record in to pc.
