After having such a fantastic experience with Analogics' restoration of my Prophet-5, I finally sent off my beloved Minimoog for the same treatment. The Minimoog wasn't in as dire shape as the Prophet (the Prophet didn't work at all), but it had some cosmetic issues and a few scratchy pots, not to mention a slightly wonky keyboard. I held out for as long as I could, since it was exceedingly playable all along, but I bit the bullet last month and shipped it off to Wes for the full treatment. It just arrived home and it looks, feels, and sounds gorgeous. He put a custom curly maple cabinet on it to match the one he made for my Prophet-5. As you can see, they look great together:

Thanks! Wes does a great job. He's more than a service tech, he's a real artist. 8)

WOAHHHHH

Beautiful match Scott! They look great together. I can see you getting a nice drone going on the prophet and doing some Klaus Schultz style leads on top with the mini. Looks like Wes did a good job.

EDIT: I also was attracted to your post subject of course..little inside comment:-)

Not surprisingly, that is precisely what I was doing not ten minutes ago...

Yes Scot,

that looks very nice indeed. as much as I'm not a hardware freak that is definitely cool looking. The prophet looks better from the right side, the maple looks better on that side. :D

P.S. Some pure Mini audios, please!

Wow!! Those boards look sexy as hell!!! As much as I love software, I would never get rid of any of my older analog synths...they sound too good. I only wish the maintenance wasn't so expensive when you have had them stored away for years at a time. I hope you get some real analog enjoyment out of your synths...that was money well spent!!

Peace - morphex

Thanks Morphex. If you love the old 'boards, the maintenance is worth every penny. I have a few others waiting in the cue to be sent to Analogics for the "full treatment". it makes such a difference when they play stably and smoothly. The Mini was great before, but now it's even better and it looks so good that it invites jamming.
