I am finding out I have a serious like for square leads... I must be a wierdo...
But I really like em... I just sound designed a reall nice sounding 3 osc, with a squar a saw and a sine
its got a whole modulation matrix, and it sounds absolutely bad ass... A little detune and wave shaping on the square, some fm index on the saw, and some freq mod on the sine...
to top it all off I added some delay and chorus ofcourse, but really I am quite impressed with the square wave....
Right now, squares are my favorite wave form, followed by saw, and then maybe formants...
cause they sound so gentle...
sines are so obligatory, because they can really settle a harsh sound, they give balance I find...
I think for lfo's I am all about triangles... I think triangle leads are too passe...
ramps on lfo's can be so harsh....
anyways, that is how I feel...
Square... So so so so Square... And that is just it....

like you some squares eh? be sure to try out pulsation once it's out of beta. it's pretty good for PWM and it's oscs consist only of pulses (square waves with offsets if you like).
in the meanwhile the hahaha cs-33 by pethu rocks at PWM and has some nice phat sounds. if you have not yet tried it, definitely missing out.
