nice very genre bending yeah? I just feel like elemest here are just not going together... its like, gnomist revolution...., has some melody, but the tone of the synths is yukkie fer my taste... and the sares are just coming at you, but the temp is not fast enough for drum n bass, and not slow enough for breakbeat... also the mix needs work...
I would say you need to use different snare sounds on that one, start choosing nicer sounding synths, and maybe pan things some more... also velocity, all these drums in all your tracks need more velocity changes...
infectious sorrow bored me to death in the first ten seconds, so its right back to the drawing board with you all on that....
Unfinished 2, found intresting got some hard dance stabs, with more not d n b, and not breakbeat snare stuff.... pretty cool, till the end when it went into sorta techno mode....
unfinished is the best so far... I like this track... You big problem here is a tone thing... The synths are way too cheesy... and make the melody to happy, happy, everybody dance now happy happy.....
Seriosuly, I dont want to sound as if this was a critique of your music. It is not.
Its pointing out things so that we can get to the bottom of it...
mainly this can all be summed up like this
Use different synth tones.
Use more velocity on your drums
find tempos that fit better with the tracks
use more eq
use better synth tones ( i can not stress enough, how the synths your are using are just bad.. ) I dunno if those are presets or what... but wow... you gotta look into that

thanks! your the first person ive run into who had some real constructive criticism for me so far. yeah i definitely agree with the drum velocity idea ill start doing that. the synth thing... well ive always had problems with melodies ever since i moved and the guy that normally helped me with that sort of thing is miles away now. yes and i almost never mess with tempos except at the start of the song but those songs are 160-180bpm each.... how fast am i supposed to go?

well, it depends what you want to do. OK, we just had a thread about genre and how there are too many genre's in electronica... I agree.... but its really about what you are trying to do and what fits the track....
bassically, your melodies are pretty good. you synth tones are bad...
if your on pc... you need to go downloading some better synths, either free or payware...
much better freeware synths on pc...
I dont really use freeware synts, so you have to ask around.... I know Pethu and Odo, are making good stuff. Ugo also has a big collection of freeware to give away. The tone there will be much better then what your using...
d n b is fast!!!! is about 170 bpm on average... but... you have to think about what is going on there.... a 4/4 with a bunch of snr''s going over it, and lots of interacting basslines, some in higher octaves... For this to work velocity plays a huge roll. THere are things called ghost hits... meaning a velocity might fall anywhere from zero to 4.... These things are done a lot...
also think about distortion. Think..... Most people, who are any good, are using a lot less distortion than you think...
second, if you slow drum n bass down enough what you really get is breakbeat...
Third, you gotta watch out for cheesy sounding synths lines... I heard em on your last track, and although the melodies were good... the tones of the synths left a lot to be desired.... go search fer some other synths
