Hi
I have a problem with splitting audio loops : when i split the clip (a loop i have downloaded from an Ext2 pack, but it is the same with many loops), the beginning of the slice gets "erased" !?
Here is a short video showcasing what i mean :
Is it a known bug ?

Yepm, I can confirm the bug with the war.xtc clip
BUT If I render the clip all beats are included.
If I try another .xtc clip (evertast.xtc) it works, so seems to be a bug with war.xtc only...

It is not only that single sample : i tried with at least 8 to 10 samples, and most of them had that bug.

i think this is a "known issue" but it's described in a thread linked from the known issues thread.
so the missing part is still there, but it's all in the part on the left side of the split.insertpizhere wrote:- Splitting a multi-sample audio part in the middle of a sample does not split the sample. The left part contains the whole sample, and the right part contains none of it. The whole sample still plays even though not all of it is displayed.

I found in energyxt1 that it was better to not split audio clips, but rather to resize them. In this way the audio was not affected (with a split, the audio not within clip bounds was erased).
Perhaps this workaround can be used here too? At least until it is fixed.

I can't find the "war" clip in my lib.
I do suspect however that it depends on what is in the clip. I have noticed that parts with a single sample are very different than parts with multiple samples. (the former are almost not even a part but behave like a sample in a part.)

Exactly what we noticed early in the game.insertpizhere wrote:i think this is a "known issue" but it's described in a thread linked from the known issues thread.

The audio part data model needs a good revision. In my opinion everything in that thread would be my first priority solving if I were making a sequencer.

a few things from the beginning of that thread have been fixed already. maybe it would be better to list them explicitly again in an Audio Parts section of the known issues thread.

The main problem is that with multi-event parts the event-start and -end need to stay within the boundaries of the part or else it all gets f**ked up.
