i've recently moved to Renoise....Renoise has extensive key shortcuts....not sure if they could be anymore comprehensive

so, i voted for Bidule....FL would be cool too!

This is very timely for me because, now that i'm used to using Renoise with only the key shortcuts, i've found it very awkward to use the mouse with Bidule and FL.....

It never really went away. I basically kept working at it.

Now imagine being able to group those existing shortcuts into a fewer set of keys or able to record and playback different combinations? With regards to Bidule, do you mean as a FL plugin or as a standalone?

Did some major mapping for FL & eXT commands last night. Its funny to see how many hidden parameters these apps actually have. There are controls that I never knew existed like for instance Transparency for all windows in FL. So instead of say closing, mininizing or moving a plugin window you just press a button and it fades behind others, Amazing! Also I've found new ways to use displays. I can now use Edisons (FL7) spectral view and lay just the spectral box over top of a normal wave display giving all kinds of new info! Press another button and it fades back to normal.. This is so cool!!

I will be happy tho once I get the smart learn feature finished as apps will not need to be manually mapped. It'l grow as you go!

For the final design I'm condisering 2 themes for gui interaction.

- The Iphones interface.
- The interface from Minority Report..

I'd like to make it skinnable but that would probably take me a year to implement!

What do you think? Bad Ideas?? Too distracting?? Le me know if you have any other/better ideas..

sounds awesome. I would like it for Podium and EnergyXT, and I read nice things about using this for Guru here

i would have to see the interface before i could give you an opinion. Honestly though i really won't care what it looks like if it will work as you say.

Hey thats a good idea. I'm going to look into copying built in ones from SA apps to use in their VST plugin versions! Thanks for that idea!

Ok did a simple copy map from a Standalone and tested rmapping them in VST mode and IT WORKS! Surprisingly easy. I had a much harder time creating a simple keyboard drag and drop..
