i have read the manual and havent find any reference to this...but its 8:35 am and i havent slept yet...so i might be overlooking stuff..
can i load 16 loops (each with 4 bars and 64 slices) and sequence the slices in those loops with an external sequencer (renoise)...i dont like to use liveslice's internal sequencer/arranger...i want to sequence the slices using renoise's pattern editor + midi notes
i know i can trigger slices with midi notes in liveslice...but the loops im refering to have 64 slices each ,wich means that i need about 5/6 octaves for covering each loop.... so i was thinking if there is a way of assigning a midi channel to each loop....so that i can have 16*10 octaves to trigger stuff...
is this possible?

i just checked if there's a workaround but i guess you can't do that right now.
could be a FR though: instead of the dedicated "Play Slices" section in the settings, this could be moved to the midi-mappings, then you could insert more mappings for playing slices.

as a workaround: try using more than one liveslice - there are room enough for 128 midi triggered slices in each so you'd need 8 liveslice instances to get 16 loops running - each liveslice will use its own midi channel.

hi....thanks for trying to help....im aware of the "workaround" but unfortunately that would require much more computer resources...
any plans to improve the midi channel handling in the future ?

Btw, if you're using Renoise, why the hell did you use liveslice, expecially considered you want to trigger slices using renoise patterns ? Wouldn't it make more sense to directly slice your loops using offset commands ???
