Hi again Brok,

You don't need to start the plugin to access the other modes. You can reach WIVI settings from the start menu, and the same executable can be found in WIVI's installation folder. At this point, I think your best bet is to use Software rendering.

This may be far off, but are you running multiple desktops? Not that multiple desktops normally would be a problem with WIVI, but it sounds suspicious that your card doesn't support double buffering. I'm thinking that perhaps your card has run out of video memory due to multiple desktops, not allowing WIVI to create a backbuffer, or something like that. Anway, you shouldn't have this problem in Software rendering mode even if you run out of video memory completely.
wallander, i already posted the screenshots of all availlable modes before ...
they actually don't work for me at all, i can't access any parameter, i can't even select one instrument ... even in software-rendering mode ...

Oh, ok. I thought Software rendering was working for you, as the screenshot looked fine.

When you move your mouse across the GUI, does the mouse pointer change when you drag it over buttons? I'm just trying to determine if the GUI is responding to events at all.

One other thing you might want to try is running the plugin through TobyBear's Minihost:

http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html

as it should have very good compatibility with WIVI, in case this is specific to your host.

The fact that the plugin doesn't work in Software rendering mode almost makes me want to suggest for you to download and install the software again, in case something went wrong with your download (very unlikely).

Another thing, I'm not sure if you mentioned it but I wasn't able to find it in the thread, what operating system are you running? XP?

i understand ... :)
but no, the mousepointer isn't changing, nor does any knob or button respond at all in sw-mode ....

i'll try that, i'll let you know, though this might take a while, i have to finish an urgent job first ...

did that already ... i completeley un-and reinstalled it 2 times, 1st time with your uninstaller, 2nd time with the common win-software uninstaller ...

(hehe... I can just picture all those "pros" crying about how much they spent on hard-drives and the latest machines, for their newest and greatest HUGE sample libraries...... hehe)

Eveyone can be a virtuoso with this little baby.... Well done

brok, have you worked it out yet? I have the exact same problem.

Yeah, all those poor unfortunate souls who spent 1000s and 1000s and 1000s on sample libraries only to see this new amazing technology break on the horizon.

I'm saving up for this, and will get all the brass, woodwind and string instruments when they finally come out.

Now all we need is a decent realistic guitar/bass simulation. Maybe he'll work on those too. But someone else is working on a good guitar simulation, forget who it is, but it should be released within a few months (fingers crossed).
