Hi Rhino users,

With the "ambient bank" almost done (now a matter of hours actually), Daniel and I would love to hear from you and find out what kind of presets are really needed. So here's a quick poll. Thanks for entering, and please post suggestions if you have any.

I voted a bit of everything ...
Submit them as they are ...
In the Creamware presets files there's a category column that helps !
For my selfish me, I look for " new patterns " .... sounds I may not like but ideas to tweak !! :D

rhino is capable of alot so I voted for a little of everything too.

I'll tell you what kind of presets I want....More!!!! All the presets that come with Rhino are spectacular. Some of the best programming anywhere, soft synth or hardware.I voted for a bit of everything.Rhino is such a powerful monster it has to be considered one of the top softsynths of all time(Absynth who?) :D :D

I voted pads but I really mean those long, sustained sounds that can only come from Rhino. Other programs do acoustic instruments, analog, and percussion sounds better than Rhino with less CPU. The only thing I have heard that can compete with the pads, sound effects and one note wonders is ABSynth and maybe FM7.

All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

I think they're called 'evolving pads' Albino does them as well with patches such as 'Modulated Road' and a few others. But Rhino has more of them. Then again, I have both, so no worries! :D

I woulds have to say basses.

I'm alway's searching for the ultimate basses and keys. The nice rhodes
with tinkly bits in the back with a touch of pads for those slow jams.

I find myself having to layer many vsti's to get the sounds I want.

But basses would be my first choice. Nice farting, funky ,edgy , deep make you want to play for hours basses.LIke the old sugar hill gang records. Ya , thats it.

I would vote for subtly evolving pads -- relatively simple, but rich and smooth -- less is more sort of thing.

and some bubblers -- these are like sequencers, but done with filter movement on pitch and pulse modulation -- the filter opens to a sound and then closes down in a repeatable, bubbling, rolling pattern. (not done with osc pitch envelopes or sequencers) ancient old school Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream bubbling rhythmic patterns.
seems a natural for the capablities of Rhino
not exactly in favor these days with all the other percussion possibilities, but I for one like these bubblers. The zt3a has a 5 or 6 of these (out of ??? -- shows how popular that notion is) and the Pro-53 demo had a few as well.
sorry if my description sucks
I ran through the electroloops and didn't really hear any. They may be in there. If I missed them let me know.
