Hello...
[sorry to post again so soon...but this one's more important anyway.]
I'm looking to find a top-notch sample library (not sure if that's the right term) with realistic sounding acoustic & electric guitars (mostly acoustic, hollow-body electric & 12 String)...that can be played via MIDI (MIDI guitar tracks, composed in a DAW.)
[& not Real Guitar, by MusicLab.]
Thanks,
mark4man

You have 3 options for a virtual guitar.
Acoustic Legends -obviously all acoustic guitars. Lot's of choices of which guitar to use very high quality samples. $299
Real Guitar - big draw is the performance ability and price 249
Chris Hein Guitars - both electric and acoustic guitars most expensive of all three

If you really want the electric and acoustic in one shot, I would probably go for Chris Heinz (although I love my Prominy LPC for electric).

Checked out Acoustic Legends...sounds perfect. Comes w/ it's own KonTact player, which I hope I can implement in SONAR. They do have FAQs, tho...guess I'll read up.
Thanks everyone,

have a look at manyguitar , the acoustics always impressed me, plus you get electrics and basses .

...does Acoustic Legends use some advanced scripting or key switching like the Chris Hein Guitars (or even like the new Scarbee Black Bass)? Judging from the interface it only looks like some tweaking controls...

Also check these out:-

http://www.sonivoxmi.com/ProductDetail. ... ylonGuitar
They are downloadable VSTi's , one is a steel string and the other nylon. They cost $49.95 each and sound great - check out the mp3 demos

I dont know, man...awful lot of overly percussive action on that Martin. I doubt it was sampled that way, but the mp3 demo leaves me wondering. [Great idea tho...individual VSTi guitars.]

Acoustic Legends HD has one articulation in some of the instruments (and only one): a fixed slide. No legato notes, no custom slides, no hammer on/pull off. Keyswitches are used only to change finger, nail or thumb playing.loachm wrote:...does Acoustic Legends use some advanced scripting or key switching like the Chris Hein Guitars (or even like the new Scarbee Black Bass)? The samples are good, but no articulations like Black Bass, Chris Hein or Real Guitar.
