Hello!
I'm a big fan of the TR-505 which has a cheap, characteristic sound to it. It's the only drum machine I own, so I was thinking about getting a sample library consisting of ("vintage") drum machines. Could you recommend me some?

Thank you!

Hollow Sun seems to have a large collection.

Check out the upcoming AudioRealism Drum Machine to cover 606, 808 and 909 sounds, but with all the tweakability of the originals.

I just got this for Guru last week, and I second that the sounds are great and the price is even better!

You can get almost every drum machine known to man here, though some collections are more thorough than others:

We're going to be offering that kit and a bunch of vintage drum machines as inexpensive downloads on www.esoundz.com

FREE samples at http://samples.kb6.de/downloads.php

Gear includes: Boss RZ's, some Casio's, the Deep Sky kicks, the Linndrum, Oberheim DMX, Yamaha RX's & RY's, Roland CR's, TR's, MC's and some circuit bent 808 & 909 samples. And more.

Some sample sets are incomplete, but they're good for building vintage/retro/electro kits.

If you want some really "different" drum machine, check out Precisionsound's AutoVari 64. I have one of these (the hardware ones) on my 1971 Hammond L-295.

EDIT...looks like the two last links in this post offer the same samples (at least they are labelled similarly), but looks like the kb site is more organized and complete.

good stuff.

Where ever you get them these are fairly good samples but be aware that some of the samples on hyperreal, particularly instruments, vary in quality and some are very old. (i.e. from an age with lower fidelity)
