Well whadya know - I bought it new in a store in 2001. Fairly cheap, as they managed to not sell the thing for a year :-o
Semi-official rumour is that there are 50 rack versions, though I don't think that's a very credible figure...

I don't use it much in music these days, but it's still a great toy to fiddle with :D

Got a new toy for the studio

The Korg MS20 USB controller and I love it! Here it is installed ( more or less) in my studio:

Of course, that came with the software. I really think more products should do this.. a dedicated controller that controls the software, but with dedicated knobs with labels, 4 way switches, lots of LED's and visual indicators. That way you are not paying for electronoics, but a dedicated knob box. I would love to see Korg do this with that large modular they built. I know people cpomplain about the keybard being small on this USB controller, but it is meant for auditioning the sounds..and I am getting used to it for solo work.

Heres some more pics of the studio from the same pic taking session:

Who makes that Sunlight synth? :hihi:

Post

I posted my little setup a *while* back, I have gotten a few more items since. Most of my stuff is budget gear but it serves me pretty well considering.

HP Pavillion PC don't know the specs offhand
M-Audio Radium 49 midi keyboard
Magnavox TV/Pc Monitor
KRK Rokit 8 Monitors
JBL S38II Studio Series Reference Speakers
Velodyne Sub
Seinheisser Cans
PreSonus Headphone Amp
PreSonus Eureka Pre
Behringer Ultra-Voice Pre
Behringer Virtualizer Pro FX unit
M-Audio Firewire 410 Interface
Sound Blaster Extigy
Numark USB Turntable
Simmons SD7K Electronic Drums (use as triggers basically)
M-audio Luna Microphone

All sounds come from either samples from the vinyl over in the corner or vsts, no hardware synths (yet).

Not Pictured are my guitars, 2 bass (both el cheapo models), an acoustic (again cheap), and an electric (prolly the most valuable thing I own, its a early/middle 50's Les Paul Gibson, my grandfather left it to me when he died, it has original case and all the papers that came with it from the factory, I'm not to educated on the whole thing but it was appraised VERY high, needless to say I don't touch the thing, lol).
