I have a Roland Juno 60 and Tal sounds more clean than the Juno60. The Juno did a clipping
when you ran amplitude high. Oscilators sound to clean and closer 16 bit than the Juno did
(Juno was most probably 8 bit) So for a Juno60 sound this does emulate it somewhat but really for me its not a duplicate .
I remember the Juno being more dark sounding when using filters.

sorry for the issues. I had SSE2 enabled, i think that was the problem. Try to download the plugins again.
Please send me your system configuration if it still does not work.
Thanks a lot for the feedback,
Patrick

I didn't see any 8 bit fragments in the oscilloscope if i play with the real Juno-60. The Juno-60 has absolute clean analog waveforms. Only the Oscillator controller is digital to avoid drifts in the pitch.Jadan wrote:Oscilators sound to clean and closer 16 bit than the Juno did

edit:
...here is an Audio Example(the first two parts are from the real juno):

I think i have now a good KYBD approximation. I made an inofficial release with the KYBD fix:
http://kunz.corrupt.ch/TAL-U-No-60.zip
The default presets arent updated yet. I would be happy if you can give me some feedback about the KYBD. If its all ok, i will update the default presets and make a new release.
Thanks a lot!

You work so hard on this free plug-in. I think it is the best free synth i have. It is the most used free synth i have. Never had a real juno but the sound of yours is quite beefy and extraordinary. Thanks for the hard work TAL.

togu,
I'm glad you are still making improvements - it is a cool plugin. I have the emulations for the Bank A presets done. The ones that you included in your plugin only go about half way. Here is a link:
http://www.mediamax.com/kkorker/Links/B8F47F2A50
However since you have made some necessary tweaks, they don't sound quite like they should anymore. I will go back and check them against my Juno60 and see what needs to be done to them. But in the mean time if you want to add them to your presets please go ahead.
Now I have to do Bank B as well.
Thanks

i will add your Bank A presets in the new release, they sounds really good. If you have no time, i can try to change the KYBD/Cutoff values of the presets by myself...
Thanks a lot
Bank B would be cool too

I thought the last release was as good as it was going to get, now my feature request has just been implemented! Have done a few tests against my 106 and it seems to be spot on.
Togu I will PM you with an example. Thanks!!!

Juno 60 8-bit... oh maaaan
cool, is he serious? AFAIK there's no "bits" in analog audio. Anyway, just continue, I had a good lough... Sorry Jadan, don't take it to hard, everybody says something stupid once in a while and learn something in the process, me not excluded.
@ToguAudioLine: great stuff man, as a previous owner of Juno-60 and two Juno-106 I must say this one sounds pretty much very good, probably even better than pretty much very good, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
[I'm kidding, it sounds awesome].
Thanks for a great and free VSTi and a very nice chorus plug, too!
Cheers!

Is the server down? I'm getting a "Forbidden" error which is preventing me from getting the latest version of U-No-60 and the chorus.
