The quality and reliability of these things has been panned in numerous user reviews, but against my better judgement I just bought one. Of course my optimism was rammed straight down my throat after 45 seconds, when it became very obvious that half of the buttons don't work. Oh joy! RMA's, post office queues and disjointed E-mail threads with non-technical technical support instead of having a keyboard to play with!

I don't know what the hell passes for quality control at Creative, but this is just depressing. Avoid it like the plague, may their remaining stock end up in a landfill somewhere in New Mexico.

:tantrum:

Before anyone jumps in with the violin emoticon, I meant this as a warning to others as well as a rant.

EDIT: I'm entering into a dispute with the supplier over this now. Also, the item was invoiced as "EMU XBOARD 61 PROTEUSX2 BUNDLE" and it does not include Proteus X2, it is in fact the original Proteus X. Enclosed is a flyer for Proteus X2 encouraging the user to buy online.

I really feel like I've been stiffed here, avoid this controller at all costs.

Analogue or digital – which is better? There's only one way to find out... FI-I-IGHT!!!
