My ST 2.5 seems to have installed correctly (no glitches, no problems with older projects) but I have troubles activating/deactivating the send effects. I click the send effect section button, load up and activate an effect in the first slot, fiddle with send/return settings... and the effect is not there! A couple of on/off clicks on Bypass... still no dice. Then I go to the part (insert) effect section, click on Bypass (on and off)... and here comes my send effect!

The same trouble with switching the send off. Deactivating the fx slot or bypassing just won't switch it off. Again I need to go to the part effect section and bypass on/off to get rid of the send.

Strange. Anybody else having this issue?

Looks like I'm the only poor sucker who doesn't have sends working right... oh boy, what can I do, will try a reinstall...

Windows XP Service Pack2, Cubase SE 3.0.3. But the standalone version has the same problem on my system (Intel Core2Duo E4300 1.8GHz, ASUS P5B-V, 2GB RAM, M-Audio Delta 44, 2 x UAD-1, 1 x UAD-1e).

The only thing I've noticed is that the send/return adjustment doesn't work when loading a preset combi. I have to change the send effect to be able to adjust them.

I have no problems with inserts and send effect when loading an instrument.

Are you using preset combis or do you have the same problem when loading instruments to an "empty ST2"?

I uninstalled SampleTank 2.5, deleted some apparently old registry keys for SampleTank and installed again. Sends now work as expected, finally!

I simply ran RegEdit, used the Search function to find the words "SampleTank" and deleted the keys - there were about three or four of them. (I also have SampleTank LE installed for the sake of opening old projects so I made sure I didn't delete anything that referred to the LE version.)

You know it's always a bit of a hazard to fiddle with the registry but I was desperate enough to do it
