Does anyone know how the hooksound was made? It has such (uncommon) silky and non-noisy treble.
I can't recreate it (sawtooths and multisaws seem to produce too much noisy treble (tried with Z3ta+)) and note octave doubling produces too much body.
I have tried many kinds of oscillator combinations and modulations. No chance.
Do JP8k or Virus owners know more?

Use 3 Oscillators Saw waveform at 1 octave distance per Oscillator and detuned to each other, try to find the level where all those 3 oscillators blend (higher octaves lower level) otherweise it tend to sound too organ like, add low cut or HP to cut the low frequencies, add a 24dB LP and a bit resonance to remove the high hiss. Use Chorus and Reverb at will, add unisono voices if it's still not dense enough sounding...

Have you replicated it, or do you just guess? Look at the spectrum. There is definately no lopass used.

What makes you think their is no LP in the sound?

Sure, sure you did that kind of sound far too often and therefore you don't hear, that no LP is used... Or are you even one of those people not hearing the differences and claiming all sawtooth sounds were sounding the same anyway?

BTW, in the meanwhile i was able to solve the problem with another synth.

It sounds like something a Roland Juno-2 or possibly JX8P might produce.

If you want to get the hiss out of the sound, you can use a synth with some kind of Oscillator wise prefiltering, do a slight but steep lowpassfiltering or a Highcut equalizer wise. Due to the slight Highpass or Lowcut filtering the Lowpass might stay invisible to your ears, since the effect is rather comparable to a bandpass with variable bandwidth...

Their are slight differences when it comes to filtering/EQing, detuning, LFO use but mainly most of the dance/trance stuff is easy to reproduce, no specialised synths needed...

Well, I guess you found one with less hiss/high frequencies at all, so no filtering is needed.
