Hi,

i've imported the classic lately bass preset from the TX81Z into Rhino and it sounds not like the original:

(first Rhino then played with FM7)

Will there be a better support for this in the next versions of Rhino?

Problem is, contrary to FM7, Rhino was never designed to be a TX / DX / whatever emulator. I don't even have a TX81 to play with :)

If perfect emulation is what you need, FM7 is probably the way to go. However, with minor tweaks, Rhino can come up with fairly convincing emulations (often better than the original).

I own a TX81Z and the Lately Bas in FM7 doesn't sound as good/fat as the original. And it's not a matter of loudness. No matter how hard I drive the monitors with the FM7, it always sounds weaker.
I bought a TX81Z for 50,- euro and there are hundreds of sounds at the internet. Just go hardware if you want that pure, raw FM sound.

Perhaps... but the FM7 plays "the" well-known sound everybody knows, all other soft-synths play something that is very hard to identify as the "lately bass".

Yes, you're right. It's definitely the Lately Bas which the FM7 plays. No doubt about that. It's just weaker. That's no psychological/imaginative difference. Even my girlfriend noticed without asking.
