Ok, no bass guitar yet, but I got some vocals back from BERLIN today, and here they are...

I think this turned out real good. Mat(vocals) went a little more hardcore style, I guess, but I can say all his touring across Europe has made him a f**king Pro!! He's got total control over his voice now, I personally think its a step up from the normal shit in this style,, but I may be biased!! haha All I know is when I get the bass tracks, it should really pack a whollip!!!!!! haha What a great word..

cool, liked it!
i really like the 'instrumental' part of this piece (especially drums!), there are some killer blast parts! xcellent, but the only thing i don't really liked is the vox
(it's a good singer but his voice is not my cup of tea...)
anyway it's a very good song, with a strong structure...congrats!

Hey JacK, Yeah vocals are a hard thing to get right in this style.. Over the years his voice has always been a little bit of a debate among friends and reviewers.. I think he sounds different than many "typical" vox, not much different but enough.... Also I think he sounds strong on this record.

But anyway I really appreciate the commments on the song writing!! Thats my department

, I write all the music, and I played the drums and guitars...

+1 on the vocals. I wasn't going to say anything because i thought I would be alone with this but yeah.....don't like the vocals at all.

great...nice to hear that kind of music around here...i thought the vocals were decent...

i quite like that vocal style, as much as i like the corpsegrinder style vox as well. personally id say keep the vocalist. reminds me of reading loads of reviews of cryptopsy when Mike DiSalvo was the singer (and then you'll beg) .they all said shit like 'music is great, singer isnt as good as Lord Wyrm' but thats complete horse shit. DiSalvo was perfect for their music and Lord Wyrm was f**king terrible. that was the best album they made..anyway, i digress.

great music, great vocals. keep it up.

i want a singer.

Thanks too.. Its funny, I f**king hate Lord Wyrm too, And live he is even worse, but on the last Cryptopsy I think he sounds great!

Yeah it could be fun, but im not sure what the contest is..,

Sooo, the bottom line is "heaviness" is purely subjective of course. But I would be interested to see if there is any interest in people trying to write some bludgeoning music.. Cant hurt to spam the cafe with heavier tunes, right??
