Hmph, been downloading for about 6 hours (reached 25%) and then it dropped the connection.
I'll try again later.
I hope it's good enough to warrant the immense storage size - I uninstalled the various East West Kontakt/Intakt demos because they need about 2gb for a very small number of instruments, of which only about one in each demo turns out to be personally useful.
It'll be interesting to try out the Yellow Tools GUI/workflow style, at any rate.

ok.
After 5 hours or so downloading, the download stopped at 606mega. Of course, the ZIP is corrupted.
I think i won't bother spending 2 days and ruining my bandwidth trying to dl 2giga of acoustic guitar
So bye bye library samplers !
Maybe if something is done to download only some parts (i don't care about strings or accoustic instruments, and i guess there is at least 1.5giga of such samples), or if a torrent is released, I'll give it another try, but atm, i think my life of vst geek addict will be lived without any Indepence

What the shit?? I installed this but none of the libraries will load. I get this.

So then I figured I may have messed something up when I installed it (I put a foldername in the box: Program Files\*INDEPENDENCE 2. *). So I went to uninstall or reinstall it. Low and behold
THERE IS NO UNINSTALL FOR THIS THING IN THE PROGRAM(S) FOLDER OR IN ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS
!!!
I really hope I dont have to hack my registry now!!
EDIT:
JUST TRIED THE INSTALLER AGAIN AND IT ALSO DOES NOT GIVE AN OPTION TO UNINSTALL. THIS IS TERRIBLE...!!

Been looking for more organic* sounds and felt this would be the solution, but bit of a disappointment after playing with it for 2 hours. So even if it took me 30 minutes to download I would have honestly felt cheated if I've waited for 2+ hours for 30 presets and 5 usuable.
Since you can't import samples it's impossible to get a feel for how well the editing will integrate with the current sample lib you've got and what kind of quality of aliasing/playback it will generate
The interface looks pro, but I am not sure about the workflow yet. Nice pipe organ and I liked the electric piano and the guitars. But the synthesizer presets were really cheesy, just slap a bit of reverb+chorus onto any VA synthedit freebie and layer it with a sfz soundfont and your pretty much there anyway, half of the sounds were goold old BORING virtual analog and IMO worth $0.
In comparison I went to the wusikstation site to try that one instead, It was much better and I could dump my good old .wav's and create a good organic nice wavesequence within 5 minutes
Didn't bother to look at the drums at all, no need
*organic = either sample based or really really impressive acoustic instruments (currently a bit fed up with the limitations of 2 OSC SIN/SAW/SQR subtr-synthesis)

just set it up overnight in a download manager.. you can open multiple threads to download quicker, then you get resume abilities too. Their servers support resume (tested).sinkmusic wrote:ok.

I think you're having trouble finding registry keys because it doesn't set any.. or at least I'm not seeing any. Its pretty easy for me to find them since I'm on a fairly clean hard drive at the moment.. thus theres no uninstall.. I'd just trash the directory and start over if I were you. make sure your download isn't corrupted (check file size for one).
