not much to enjoy for us mac/logicusers :shrug:

hypercyclic seems/looks really cool, but midi-plugins doesn't work in logic. maybe it would work with some osx-internal midi-wiring...

and stochaton is too complicated for me. :shock:

some pc-plugs look very promising. i'm waiting for the mac-release :hihi:

GARC.
It's a rave, Lewis!

It's a shame there's not more mac stuff, I feel a bit bad but... y'know, not a real programmer, slave to my tools...

mac compatibility in SE and SM would change things radically. :)

edit :p (how'd my browser get switched to small fonts??!)
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

Ace! This is going to occupy the rest of my day ;)

----Wow, so far a couple really cool items here, and 2 SM made synths that actually like work, and like don't crash or take insane cpu (most of the time) or buzz or click, or anything that a lot of SM plugs seem to do (but really, I'm saying it's cool to have tried 2 so far that both work, and one for sure is getting one of my votes if we still get top 3 or top 5 votes or whatever). So far so good, the quality seems as high or higher than last year from the first 5 or 6 things I've tried out just briefly. Congrats to all the hard working devs who got their entry done and all set up for the DC, and it looks like ya'll can rest a hair easier as Urs did not enter ? No offense to him, just good to see the smaller guys getting the spotlight for this ya know, Urs has gotta take care of his payware stuff anyways, he probably needs the extra time to deal with 8,000 more Z2 feature requests. :hihi: So yeah, other than tiny screenshots on the DC page, it all seems to be in full swing and up and running perfectly a scant hour after it began, way to go to tuz & Ben for their behind the scene work too eh. :)

du auch, hypercyclic runs in Logic, but you need to set up the IAC midi loopback device. Very easy to do:
from mac desktop, launch applications/utilities/audio-midi setup;
choose midi devices tab;
click on IAC driver;
click on "add port" : the new loopback port will be named "IAC bus 1".

Then in Logic, add a hypercyclic instance. In the "midi to" combobox (upper left in hypercyclic UI), click "configure...". Check "IAC bus 1" as one of the output devices. Also put the combo on that new device when returning from the dialog box.

Next put another instrument on a second track. Start the transport and click on the second instrument track. Normally that instrument will receive from the IAC bus and you'll hear hypercyclic's output.

While this sort of works (I tested in Logic Express 7.2) , I admit it's not as straightforward as with VST. So if you have Live or Cubase on Mac, please try the OSX VST version which is also provided.

have fun,

...Well done to Ben and Tuz!! :tu:

Some brilliant stuff there! ArcDev's innovative abletonish-like loop player is pure fun (and very easy on the CPU!), lidsquid's Grapheed is just awesome, Shuriken's new mangler is fun & noisy, the Psychic Modulation one looks really interesting... and that's just from first impression...
Thank you Tuz, Ben and all the developers who took apart in this great contest! :tu:

Excellent stuff. Already found three or four that will go straight into use. :)

Can't get blip to install. Shame, because it looks fascinating. Anyone else having problems?
